ADVANTAGES OF STEAM BATHS AND HYDRO MASSAGE

Hydromassage in a nutshell

The effect of water is incredible. If you want to relax from the stress of the weekdays or just want to massage your strained muscles hydro massage provides you a pleasant recreation with natural conditions.

Bathing culture is very popular all over the world. The water as the source of life is the perfect element for the body. In optimal temperature it gives the peaceful feeling of floating in the uterus.

Its effect on the human body is outstanding which can not be substituted by any chemicals or other methods.

Hydromassage is nothing else but a massage that stimulates the circulation with a suitable mixture of water and air. While bathing, the temperature of the body increases, circulation accelerates and blood pressure decreases. The quantity of oxygen, and nutrients transported to the cells increases manifold. And the pores of the skin dilate, the tissues, muscles relax. Hydromassage can enhance these effects; it can be recommended for locomotor disorders and rheumatic complaints, to alleviate problems with circulation and metabolism and to prevent varicose veins and cellulitis. Hydromassage is also beneficial to alleviate stress and tiredness.

The weight of the body immersed in water decreases by 90% thus relieving the muscles and joints from the load, and allowing you to float in the therapeutic water. The jet spray of the hydromassage which massages the body is made up of warm water and air.

This strong water jet relaxes the tense muscles and stimulates the production of endorphin, the natural painkiller of the body. Hydromassage naturally offers far more, then a good massage. The pleasantly bubbling warm water also refreshes the spirit and the soul. With just 15-20 minutes in the morning, your day has a good start. And a dip in the evening before going to bed and your deep and restful sleep is ensured.

About steam baths..

In contrary to the dry air of Finnish saunas it provides the humid heat of a Turkish bath, which is more relaxing and has increased impact on stretching out muscles, and in addition enhances the blood supply of the human organs. Further advantage, that steam increases the temperature of the human body faster than dry saunas to the required level (38.3 – 39.4 oC). It relieves the symptoms of respiratory organ diseases; makes the skin more flexible helps preventing cellulite. By dilating the pores of the skin it accelerates the detoxication of the body.

During a stay in the steam cabin for 15-20 minutes the pulse increases from 75 to 100-150 per minute invigorating the circulation without any increase in the blood pressure. Since the capillaries of the skin expand as a result of the heat exposure the overall blood circulating capacity of the skin increases therefore more nutriment is delivered to its cells. In contrary to dry saunas the steam bath does not dehydrates the skin and helps to prevent toxic content perspiration from drying on the skin before taking a shower.

Hydrates dry skin

Steam bath is better for the skin than the occasionally very dry air in ordinary saunas. This is the reason why steam therapy was an invaluable part of the practices of cosmetology. Steam therapy helps small deposited impurities in the skin pores to leak out

Inhaling the steam

Inhaling steam is an effective method to treat respiration diseases, like common colds, bronchitis and asthma.

Impressive results in the treatment of Cellulite

Dr. John Welbes, Director of the College of Massage Therapy in Omaha, Nebraska, recommends steam bath in the treatment of cellulite, finding it superior to body wraps in raising tissue temperature. ""Body wraps are very slow;"" says Dr. Welbes, ""it may take an hour to achieve the same temperature increase that you can get in about 10 minutes in a steam bath.
